Assessment Disclaimer

How to interpret a ScholarVault assessment responsibly.

1. Scope of the conclusion

An SCVS assessment concerns specified information about a conference or event at a stated time. It is not a legal determination of fraud, a certification of all organizer activities or a promise of event delivery.

2. Scores and labels

Evidence strength and evidence coverage are different. Neither is a calibrated probability of loss or misconduct unless a validated methodology explicitly establishes that meaning. Missing information and an unassessed topic must not be treated as a proven adverse fact.

Automated assessments are not accreditation or independent human verification. Human review must be expressly recorded with its scope; it does not establish government, university or publisher approval.

3. Network and historical signals

A screening-list entry, historic allegation, shared infrastructure or suspected association can prompt closer examination. It does not by itself establish common ownership, illegal activity or responsibility for another entity’s conduct. Discovery exclusions do not amount to a published finding of misconduct.

4. Decisions and third parties

Confirm critical participation, payment, refund, publication and indexing claims with the responsible authoritative source. Acceptance, publication, indexing, refunds, grants and reimbursements are controlled by their respective decision-makers.

Source links are references, not endorsements. A report identifier or QR link establishes a record reference, not the correctness of every assertion in that record.

5. Commercial relationships and corrections

ScholarVault also organizes events and offers paid services. A relevant relationship should be disclosed and must not be concealed behind a claim of universal independence. Payment or sponsorship must not determine a favorable assessment.
